It depends a lot on what you are going to use it for .If you are using it to record your playing music on an instrument it could possibly be a
intro "easy to use program" but if you are serious you would be better with other more professional programs.
The real value of the program was not appreciated by Apple. I run a community broadcast program and talk that I record on Garageband and it is brilliant in recording my voice and being able to adjust my voice e.g to the narrator mode.It would be excellent for Podcasts e.g. However I want to integrate music into the program and that Apple has made difficult ,because in the past you could open the database of all your music and do a search for the music genre and themes and how long it played and then place it in the program .However now they have removed the database making it difficult. You might as well use Audacity now!
