I appreciate that they consistently add new features each month and offer a lot of live and asynchronous training on their platform for free and through the community. Their CX crew is top notch. I probably reach out to them once a year and I've always beyond impressed. They're kind, competent, and always resolve my issue, no matter how big it might seem, within minutes. I've been a user for almost 4 years and nothing else compares to Vyond. It's easy to use and I use static images in PPTs and e-learnings as well as GIFs and videos. I wish they would improve their search function with the character creation area. I can end up wasting more time than I like trying to find the right clothing, hairstyle, etc. It's not easy to find what I'm looking for even when I know it exists. I'd also love a list of all the actions. There's no way I'm aware of all of them and many times I just happen upon new ones that are really useful. It would save me a lot of time if I could export HQ still images directly in Vyond instead of downloading a video and then going through other software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the range of characters and templates I can use to create videos. The tool is relatively easy to use, for the most part. Once the video is created, I feel a sense of accomplishment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find that creating longer videos (2 minutes or more) can become tedious. It can be taxing, so I keep my videos about 1 to 1.5 minutes. However, the tools is best used for shorter videos, I think.

The captioning is difficult for me. I can't understand why it is so hard. I have been using the YouTube captioning tool, which is not ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Vyond is easy to use, and I love being able to independently create videos that contain action and dialogue in my role as an Instructional Designer. One of the things that makes it so accessible is the help videos. When I have questions, I can always find the answers, and they are accompanied by video that walks me through how to do whatever it is I want to do. Also, the one time I reached out to Customer Support, I got a response almost immediately, and the person on the other end followed up until the issue was resolved. For some reason the volume of the characters' voices is automatically faded at the end of their dialogue. I've tried extending the scene to see if this helps, but their voices fade as their speaking part ends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have used Vyond for quite a long time for animations and a few TTS projects.Overall Vyond is a great animation tool, far ahead of most other tools within the industry. Two major issues are with the recent AI Avatar characters:

1) Unlike the regular Vyond animated characters, you can't edit and 'regenerate' the character's TTS for these new AV avatar characters. Instead you must re-shoot them over again which makes no sense and is very time consuming. It's extra challenging because it's not so easy to identify which clip is which within the Vyond Library for your video, especially if you are pulling in graphics and other TTS backed content plus getting them back into the main timeline.

2) Another issue is with the TTS, it is now having issues with consistency of its pronouciations. For example the word 'refiner', it will pronounce it correctly in a sentence and then a sentence or two later will pronouce it differenty. Whereas in the past I might phoentically spell the word but it would be consistent in how it would pronounce it in all places. Something has changed with the TTS (maybe the vendors), yes they sound more human like with most pronunciatins, however having inconsistencies has introduced a new type of problem that I can't easily get around. I have been working with Vyond for over 4 years and I am still enthusiastic. The tool is continuously evolving – with regular updates, new features, and a noticeable focus on customer feedback. Many of my wishes have actually been implemented over time.

What I particularly appreciate:

Large selection of templates that make it easier to get started

High customizability: uploading your own SVGs is a game changer

Independence from standard design: I can simply add missing props myself

Great customer support

For me, Vyond is a prime example of a tool that grows with its users. It's fun to work with, and it inspires me again and again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Even though I find Vyond overall great, there are a few minor points that sometimes slow down the workflow a bit:

Browser Compatibility: The performance varies depending on the browser. It took me a while to figure out which one works best for me.

Loading times during preview: Despite having a very good internet connection, loading the preview sometimes takes quite a while – especially when testing many small animations and frequently switching between edit and preview mode.

Web-based: A dream would, of course, be a desktop version. Especially with larger video projects, this would probably save time.

But this is really complaining at a high level. Vyond remains one of the best tools in the field of animation for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the variety of voices for the voice-to-text option. Some of them sound very robotic, but some are very natural, especially when you learn how to adjust the text part to get what you want. I also like making my own avatars--I've made several for myself and coworkers, and it's a fun way to personalize the videos, especially since I port the animations with those characters from Vyond into other video-editing software that I use to create employee spotlights. The basics were also very easy to pick up. I had someone at Vyond give me an hour-long training when I first got my license, and that set me up for success. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike that it's so easy for Vyond videos to feel the same. I know there's a lot of options, and that features keep expanding, but Vyond videos have very similar vibes. That doesn't mean the videos are bad, but if somebody were to watch several in a row, I imagine they would start to blend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the ease of use and the support provided from the team. From the regular webinars which highlight the proper implementation the features, to the ease of use in integrating the content into training. Vyond ability to create eye catching micro learnings and support videos. The Customer Success team is top notch. They're professional, kind, and always able resolve my issue, no matter how big it might seem, within minutes. I'm finding myself frequenting Vyond in my initial design and storyboard phases which has led to quicker development turnaround. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the custom avatar feature improves over time. I would recommend more detailed instructions and best practices to assist in saving time and money in the custom avatar. Additionally, the ability to preview the custom avatar BEFORE doing a final submission would assist end users in ensuring the custom avatar is aligned to the user needs. I love that you can quickly create animations with props, backgrounds and great AI voices in no time flat! I use this program everyday in my work and would recommend it to anyone looking to create any type of animated content. Whether that's traditional character animations or animated images/videos/pictures (like a PowerPoint). Some things aren't searchable, like in character creator, there needs to be a search feature for clothes and accessories. There needs to be more clothing and accessories added for the Business Friendly characters and the same features added to Business friendly that Contemporary has. I also dislike that I can't import my Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop files (with layers) directly into the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are few good things about Vyond that I love:

1. Once you set a backdrop for a video, you can actually save it as a template and use it next time. This is helpful when I create videos that should reflect the Brand

2. The fact that now I can give a topic or a script and Vyond can create videos out of it is really awesome!

3. Creating Avatars using my own image or something that I would love in an avatar is simply amazing

4. The text to Image really works well, though with time I guess it will get better Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. The pre-existing templates needs to be checked by the team on a regular basis and improvise or increase the inventory of it.

2. The Modern avatars do have limited customization compared to the traditional characters, like the lipstick colors, shoe styles, hair styles and body types.

3. I guess integrating a higher or better version of AI in text to video generation feature would bring fantastic results. I am sure the team is working on it though.

4. If you can add a tool like AI Prompt writer, which will assist us in refining prompts specifically for Vyond video/text generation, that would be an absolute show. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's easy and intuitive to use immediately, but you slowly realise as you discover more of the features just how much you can actually do with it. Once you've got a handle on all of the tools, you're pretty much only limited by your imagination. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes it can take a little while to save scenes, causing it to pause during playback whilst testing your work. When testing something fiddly that needs readjustment this can be frustrating. I appreciate though that the complexity of the video / number of assets you are using is going to take some time to compile (and my own internet connection may play a role in this) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
